Now I've got a ~12 gig folder of .oggs (don't need anything higher quality, fucked up my ears listening to Linkin Park and Green Day on max volume on cheap chinese earbuds when I was 14 ¯_(ツ)_/¯) that I sync between my devices using syncthing

@Reb unfortunately some programmes refuse to play ball with Linux or even Wine, and I'm not a programmer to just write my own application when that happens. So sometimes I just have to boot into my windows install for certain jobs.

@Reb I want to work on a custom map for #gzDoom but the Linux version of #ultimateDoomBuilder is like. Trash. Which is why I was hoping to just boot into my windows install. Sucks that I can't. I'll just have to deal with UDB being crashy and hopefully I can finish the map in time for the collab's deadline anyway.

Yyyyeah Windows' attempt at self repair failed, I'd either have to spend the whole afternoon troubleshooting, or, most likely just because it requires less brainpower, just reinstall Windows.

Though ultimately I feel that AI is the least of the worries with Windows 11. Enforcement of shady, obscure "security" measures that only serve to lock the system down further into walled garden territory are a much bigger concern, at least as far as I care :P

Then realized I can copy the url of the post into the search box here & view it like a Mastodon post. I can reply & my reply shows up on the original Lemmy thread.
