The phrase “it came out of left field” used to describe something unexpected originates from when the Chicago Cubs played on the near west side of Chicago, before Wrigley Field was built. Behind left field was a psychiatric hospital (the building still stands and houses the department of psychiatry at the University of Illinois). Periodically during games, a patient would yell something from a window of the hospital, and an expression was born

@Alice In September 2014 I was 8 months pregnant and went to Riot Fest because Weezer played the entire Blue Album, in order, to commemorate its 20th anniversary. My son agrees with you 😂
