Today is my 21st wedding anniversary. On our first wedding anniversary, we were pretty broke, so hubs made me homemade coupons for massages, but he spelled it wrong, so I got a handful of printed out coupons for 1 Hour of Messages. So, every year since I get something like this:

They get going around 10 am and will keep this up without any breaks until probably 7pm.

ETA: if you listen closely at the lull, you can hear the constant hum at a lower frequency that doesn't change, it just keeps going and going and going.

It cracks me up when people say that people with ADD and ADHD don't actually need their meds, they are just addicted to Adderall. Have they even met a person with ADD or ADHD?
My friends forget to take their meds all the time!

@RickiTarr I live with 2 people with ADHD, inattentive type, moderate. Both are on adderall and the difference on/off is remarkable. Does it fix everything? No. Would they need adderall to function if our society wasn't so unfriendly to neurodivergent folks? Also probably no.

@RickiTarr AND ANOTHER THING. Adderall hits totally different if you have ADHD/ADD or if you don't. I may, or may not, have used it to wake myself up which is how it's usually abused. Like, I MAY have left my friend's wedding to take my kids home with the plan to go back to the reception, and texted her saying "ok I took an adderall and ate some sour patch kids, be back in half an hour!" I digress. Adderall feels like a stimulant for me, but neither my husband or daughter gets that effect. It doesn't make me focus better because I can already focus. Rant over.

FTR, I rarely take adderall.

@mentallyalex @RickiTarr that's really interesting, especially gooey and slow as how it makes you feel. I've asked my daughter if she's ok with taking it and she says it's fine and finds it helpful at school. We don't give it to her on weekends or during the summer unless she has something where she needs to focus.

She prefers to skip it so we skip it. It affects her appetite quite a bit. Seems to work fine 🤷‍♀️
