@BlackAzizAnansi I feel like I have to explain critical thinking to too many people. I have given my kids critical thinking skills all their lives.

My daughter figured out Santa was nonsense at around 7 years old. She said it was because of how ridiculous the tooth fairy seemed that she concluded that Santa was silly too.

I talk to my kids about everything and explain my position and push them to make their own conclusions.

Emmett Brock was attacked by an LASD officer after he gave the officer "the finger" when he saw the officer berating a woman.

Then, because they're transphobic they did an invasive body inspection & charged him w/ "resisting arrest" (there was no reason for the arrest) Put him in the women's section.

Emmett's having a hard time so here is his legal fund. No one deserves this kind of treatment.

Where can I learn Docker fundamentals?

I jumped into Docker feet first a few months ago and have not had a real good time with it. Networking doesn’t make sense, I can’t ever seem to access config files without dropping to su -, all the tutorials and videos I find are pretty top level and assume the user already has a firm grasp on it. It’s great for drop in...

Apropos of nothing, one observation I’ve heard people who used to be involved in labour negotiations here in Iceland is “people with American brain worms don’t know how to negotiate with unions”

(Paraphrasing, since the original is always in Icelandic.)

This is noticable in that you can guess with reasonable certainty, which company is run by an executive trained in the US just by how badly they are handling union contract negotiations

@gedeonm Now that Mastodon has a decent user base it is fantastic. I can't fault it. It's a better experience than I've had in a long time. Makes me miss the good old IRC days though.
