🎵 @mirlo is an incredible for musicians, and they're running a crowdfunding campaign now! They're incorporating democratic decisionmaking from the start and have created a really slick platform to rival Bandcamp. What I love most is that it's run by musicians and those with deep ties in their local scenes. As Spotify tightens the screws on smaller artists, it's time for some more platforms to flourish.

I just started this television show and one of the people is super into astrology which made me curious...

Is astrology as popular as it once was?

I'm a Gemini for what that is worth...I don't know much about it other than the "twins" thing and that "that makes sense" when people are told.

@mentallyalex For me, astrology is great for getting an awareness that there are these planets all dancing around in space. It’s like a mindfulness exercise to contemplate these celestial bodies that are very real and very ancient. And it can be fun to try to assign meaning to all that.

Venus is currently 60 degrees away from where Mars was when I was born. Cool!

    Yesterday, council walked back their plan to cut nighttime LRT service to 30 minutes. Big congrats to the students who organized around this issue and spoke candidly about how important transit is in this city. Thanks to councillor James taking the lead on this from within council too. Sometimes we get a win and it feels good! #x

    Waterloo Region, we have the opportunity to save the Countryside Line and reverse the past year of bad provincial land-use decisions.

    Astounded and elated by this news: Ontario is rolling back all of its urban boundary changes, not just the ones in the Greenbelt. We have been fighting for this relentlessly in region. It’s a complete victory ✌️

    We know now that with enough people power, this government backs down from its terrible decisions. Bill 66, education workers, the Greenbelt, and now all the other urban growth plans. Hell yeah!

    Well, that’s a nice thing to get home to. The US edition (almost exactly the same - just some km turned into miles plus slight title modification) will be out on October 3rd, and here it is in real life. I think the UK cover is prettier, but this is still lovely.
