@WhiteCatTamer @pyperkub It's offensive tbh. Like "soldiers fighting each other" doesn't involve some doing it because they are literally trying to stop their families from being murdered by Russians.

Recently wandered over to Group. Microsoft everywhere. I haven't used Windows recently, never saw 11 before. WOE do people use it? Objectively hot garbage. UX sucks. Ads and nags popping up. Context menus don't have a copy. Start menu has news items and all sort of shit. NSFW! I don't care if you think iTs cOnFIguRaBLe - I literally do not have time to do that nonsense. I don't need to know. I don't want to know. Now Outlook crash. Big feels for the poor sobs stuck with this crap.

In the history of there have been very good and very bad. Who can even remember the dark times corny, cheap production before the Chris Ecclestone revival? Dr Who E02 tonight was a first. Did not make it through the episode. E01 was absolutely dire but at least we watched it all. Unfair to expect actors to carry scripts this awful. Feel very sorry for them. They trouped on bravely. 🫡

Making it acceptable to kill someone with different politics is not anything like the rule of law. If you follow this policy to its logical conclusion, it doesn't go anywhere good.

I’ve been in this business, writing software professionally, since I started my first software business at 16 in high school an an Apple ][. That’s 45 fucking years. It would never occur to me to steal other people’s code, let alone their likenesses, voices, or art.

Just eject these thieving “AI” companies into the sun. These people, and the VCs that fund them, are a cancer on the software industry.

Tesla is on its fifth consecutive week of layoffs.

Cutting once and cutting deep is typically recommended as a way to address the morale and trust issues that come with layoffs.

Unsurprisingly Tesla has decided to Think Different™️ with its approach.

7 kilometers in 7 days — that’s the distance you walk in an hour, only it took a week for the Russians to get that far into Kharkiv Oblast.

From analysis I have read this week, Russia has lost more than 7,000 soldiers to take strips of forrest, and small settlements.

The invaders have now reached the first of two Ukrainian defensive lines which run east to west, and with the relatively few soldiers and limited armored resources they have committed, they will likely not get much further.
