Just notified a company specializing in email security that their internal email -- and that of their customers -- was sitting out on the web.

Each inbox -- whether for company customers or employees of those companies -- was viewable just by visiting a link with a web browser and clicking links. Everything was exposed in basically one big file index.

This level of ineptitude is remarkable, and somehow they have a lot of customers (think state/local govs). To their credit, they took everything offline within a few minutes of my notifying them. But their entire business schtick is about how all your email is encrypted and protected and scanned and blah blah. Meanwhile, no it's not. At all.

Plant-obsessed or world composting are some of my favorites. That is a thing I truly enjoy watching.

I also enjoy watching yard transformation channels like Al Bladez or SB Mowing.

I am this kind of nerd, those channels have teached me a lot on those subjects.

My Dad is currently in Kenya, digging water wells for impoverished communities. He took this picture of a childrens' classroom. When I hear about TX highschools spending MILLIONS on football stadiums that benefit a portion of students, it makes me angry. 😠

@mikecherry @Andy_Thompson can confirm. 7th grade “Texas History” tried to teach us the civil war was fought solely over “state’s rights”. Also that there were no inhabitants of Texas before LaSalle. You had to put these false answers on homework and tests or risk failing.

Those who knew better (either thru parents or other history ed AKA now know as WOKE) rolled our eyes hard and got thru it. The other classmates who appeared to swallow these lies wholeheartedly, well, they’re real estate agents, nurses and teachers now 🫠

It's extremely funny to see US senators parroting the conspiracy that the Chinese version of TikTok only promotes positive & educational content whereas the US version is addictive and harmful.

The conspiracy comes from the fact that the Chinese version of TikTok has a mandatory "kids mode" enforced for anyone under 14, which imposes time limits and content restrictions, as a result of strong regulatory pressure from the Chinese government.

Like twice a year US congress makes the TikTok CEO fly in from Singapore so they can yell at him and ask why the Chinese version of TikTok (Which he has nothing to do with) is regulated, whereas the US version is not, as if congress isn't entirely responsible for making said regulations, but were instead too busy eating lead paint and being xenophobic.

Live reaction thread of my first listen of #Saviors, the new #GreenDay album, out today.

A due premise is key: it is no news that Green Day are becoming growingly watered down as the years pass. I am sad about this, but not disappointed. In the end, Billie Joe is an asshole and it is very hard to be happy for the band being successful.

Still, Green Day always had a special spot in my heart, being my first true love in terms of music. I remember vividly asking guitar teacher, back in 2013: “what is some true cool rock music I could listen to and then play, too?” “I think you would really like Green Day”, he said.

That was it. I downloaded aaaaaallllll the discography up to then, and I learned every single song by heart.

This is why I have so conflicting feelings about this band, now.

Seriously though everyone knows their “sold out” moment was back when Dookie released in 94. Didn’t stop my cohort, myself included, from incessantly chanting along to Longview, but honestly Pinhead Gunpowder is way better than any of the Green Day stuff. (Check out the Joni Mitchell cover “Big Yellow Taxi” for example.)

IMO Green Day’s best is still their pre dookie 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours. EP comp and Kerplunk!

Haven’t heard the latest but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ yeah they’re old lol leave em alone
