I “ran” a mile. This is a strangely addictive game. Really loved all the indie games at the arcade, such a broad range of cool ideas and presentation.

Being at #EMF2024 with kids is a different experience. Sitting listening to the music of null sector drinking club mate and eating pretzels while the kids sleep. Kind of nice to wind down after a busy day rescuing crows and wrangling arcade machines, children, and speakers!

Ok. So. First post on Mastadon so bear with me…first time at , also first time camping with a 6 year old… I’ve read the info on the site, can anyone weigh in with random one-liner bits of advice? It may also be helpful other emf newbies?

@robintw @PeterEbenezer we are bringing the almost 5yo and an almost 2yo, we’ll have a red covered wagon for them so do stop and say hello :) I’ll largely be winging it. Don’t forget you can always toss kiddo into the crèche for a bit if you want to see something!

Well, that was a success. The kitchen is up and running, we served over 100 people on day 1, and prep for the next few days is well under way.
Hot breakfast from today - get your fix of scrambled eggs, industrial bangers, and chef Nicholas's special extra oaty porridge.
Lunch is traditional German foods, cooked by chef Will (phish), and dinner is stews: chickpea & pepper, and beef & ale.
You can always dial MENU on DECT to find out what's on!

The existence of the term "con crud" really should have been a greater indicator of how spaces are constructed and managed to exacerbate or mitigate the spread of illness.

I'm glad @kiwipycon and have been and doing things about it, but what other organisers are?
