Someone in my network tooted something about how has for years made space for PyLadies, and musing about what it might look like for conferences to similarly make space for @blackpythondevs. I love this idea and have been mentioning it to several folks, but I forgot who said it and so I feel like I'm stealing! Can someone help me find who said this so probably attribute?

Interestingly reading about China's EV "innovations" it feels as though they are trapped in the mindset of pleasing the white people – big full OLED screens, fancy interiors that Cheeto would love instead of doing stuff that would actually be useful to the consumers.

Also thought of this given how Buicks were apparently popular in China

@divya absolutely. It is very weird they took so much from the occupier’s culture. Of course the US helped by forbidding anything remotely “native” that could be traced back to the empire, but I’m still amazed that Baseball became their most popular sport by far.
