Something I've been thinking a lot and talking a bit about lately is that online / written social interactions should be considered as valid as in-person / spoken interactions.

If I'm socializing with interesting people online and/or texting human beings whose face and voice I know, that's still human connection. An exchange of ideas. Time spent on each other, although less synchronous.

Why do I also need to be breathing on them for societal approval?

Sometimes I’m amazed by how slow I am now.

How much time it takes me to do so little.

I try to remember that I'm recovering from burnout, and my previous pace was unsustainable and should not be the baseline.

And it's hard to find motivation in a world so bleak.

The result is not that store's URL advising they will stop…

but rather a long fillable form from some who the fuck knows third party ad company.

I could uncheck a box to stop receiving that type of email…

but there was no option to “confirm" or "submit”; I had to “save profile.”
