About 10” (25cm) has fallen in the last 12 hours and it’s still falling. Wet and heavy. Supposed to get to well above freezing by the afternoon. #Vermont#SilentSunday#Snow
Here's an old pic I took of the snow-capped Llullaillaco #volcano, as seen at #sunset from ESO's Paranal Observatory in Chile. The volcano itself sits at the border between #Chile and #Argentina. I love the colour contrast between the ochre expanse of the Atacama #Desert and the white #snow covering the volcano!
Hmm, it appears the Caltrans cameras at Donner Pass are not working (usually, a result of loss of power or telecom up there). #DonnerPass#snow#CAwx#Sierras
Good morning friends, cronies and the rank and file, welcome to Monday! I'm at my desk, not quite bright-eyed and bushy-tailed but I'm here. 😜 The sunrise this morning from the parking lot was subdued and went well with my mood and coffee. ☕
Have a wonderful day! Let me know if you're seeing snow. ❄️ Apparently there are a few storms dumping the stuff around the country, here included.
Three years ago my friend Ryan Groff shared a photo he took of snow in his neighborhood. I asked and got permission to use it as an art reference. I’m finally working on a digital version. #art#wip#snow#procreate#mastoart
Truly magical experience, light and frozen fog on our winter walk last night. Simply stunning! -10℃, walking a few kilometers through knee-deep fresh powder snow, thick frozen fog drifting around us, diffusing the last light and creating surreal (almost cliché) colors...
A bighorn sheep — a younger ram from a mini-herd that dropped by to eat the yard when I was staying in New Mexico a month ago — walking behind a cholla cactus in the middle of a spring snowstorm. #NaturePhotography#NewMexico#Photography#Snow#Sheep#Wild
