We cancelled Prime awhile ago, so yesterday we decided to get Apple TV+ as we've never had it.

I am VERY aware of all the shows to watch- I've been making a list for months from friends, reviews, recommendations.

My question is, what good are ? I have no clue & would like to NOT scroll for a zillion years to see what they have.
a plus, but all recs appreciated.

HELP PLEASE, LOVELY INTERNET PEOPLE!
Thanks.

Can anyone recommend a kid-friendly painting app for iPad? Something like Kid Pix? Kindergarten/elementary age. No ads, no in-app purchases, no commercial characters (ideally).

I hunted for this a couple years ago and came up empty handed. #recommendations #askmastodon #parenting

i'm seeing complaints about hetzner again (understandable) but uh. what are y'all's recommendations for hosting (other than self hosting)

  • preferably EU/UK based, don't really trust the US + GDPR is pretty important
  • not too pricey
  • not bigoted

Help me Mastodonians, you’re my only hope!

Does anyone have for a low chair or pillow for my desk? Right now, these three pillows are almost perfect to be able to sit on the floor, but it’s a bit unstable. I have been looking for floor pillows and poufs, but maybe I need something else?

once again, I am asking the makers of sewing machines to make their software human usable. your idea about how bad "the sewing ladies" are with computers is not an excuse to make bad software. 😡

in other words, I'm taking for an machine that is less than US$5k and has software that wasn't designed by someone with zero ability to user-test it before they put it into production. Mom is tech savvy, but this software is just trash.

Anyone here have a Framework 13 laptop? I'm considering getting a Ryzen 7 base model and adding my own RAM/HD.

Right now, I have an awesome little Zepheryus g14, but it doesn't have good battery life and it's a fair few years old. I'll keep running it as my home computer but I think I need a backup on hand, as well as something I can travel with.

Be interested in hearing any current owners' thoughts.

"Kaguya-sama: Love Is War" is a comedy, romance, and slice of life show detailing the antics of the student government members in a fictional prestigious high school. The president and vice president both love each other, but there's a catch: they have too much pride to confess to each other first. As a result, they come up with the most unique ways to try and get the other person to show their affection. This is a fantastic show to destress to.

My girlfriend recently gave me the Akira Toriyama Dragon Quest Illustrations book from Japan as a birthday gift and it's awesome.

I love the way the watercolor (or perhaps ink? Can never tell...) illustrations look for the monster and character concept illustrations. Highly recommend this book for any artist out there who happens to also like RPGs.

I'm looking for for my company's night in a few weeks. I've already decided that, while it would be fun, I'm not going to perform WAP. I'd like to try to get the DJ to help me do Never Gonna Give You Up without announcing it first.

What would you sing, if you were a middle aged white guy with no sense of embarrassment?

Also, I'm a terrible singer.

I have advanced #math knowledge up to and including multivariable calculus. My background is in physics though.

I am a business owner and want to make some financial models for #marketing budgets for fun (but also hopefully useful).

But I never studied #economics or #finance in any way.
