Today I read an article where scientists figured out that during deep sleep the #brain "takes the trash out" (literally getting rid of bad substances that accumulate in the brain tissue).
Having a short and/or disturbed deep sleep cycle (e.g. snoring or sleep apnea) may prevent that and lead to #Alzheimer or #Parkinson.
I'm someone who barely sleeps 5h/night during the week and tends to snore heavily... 🥴
