Intense and very beautiful dawn conservation mission today, checking out bush health in a rarely visited part of the Remutaka ranges. Tracing a knife-edge ridgeline through some regenerating rainforest, we were on the lookout for invasive species that might stunt its growth.
On the climb in, our redlight headlamps lit up the young canopy,an armada of clouds setting sail in the distance. #notai
"Golden Morning" the old Sycamore tree on our community's property, reputed to have been here when John Brown kidnapped the great nephew of President George Washington, Col. Lewis Washington, during the raid on Harper's Ferry, pre Civil War! I love this old tree!!!
Hand painted, digitally in #CorelPainter using the lines of one of my own photos (not from stock or public domain).
Grateful thanks to my 9/29 #FineArtAmerica client from Boiling Springs, SC. for their purchase of a 30" x 23" framed canvas print of Pretty Flowers Of Corfu. One of my personal favorites … I hope you enjoy it for many years to come!!
Hand painted in Corel Painter from one of my own photographs, it's not created from artificial intelligence programs.
A backlit #chrysanthemum glows against the darkness of a summer's evening.
Image was hand-painted in #CorelPainter with thick-paint technology with a Wacom tablet and the art stylus on my Mac computer. It was loosely based on one of my own, original photographic images ... not from stock.
A waxing gibbous moon framed in the fork of an eroded branch of a Pinus longaeva (Great Basin bristlecone pine) at ~3,048m (10,000ft) in the White Mountains of California. (This is a single frame photo made by a human, #notAI.)
I captured the autumn magic with my camera while at Abbott Lake on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia and gave it a digital paint job, keeping all those true-to-life hues and light. This piece could be a natural fit anywhere, adding a splash of fall’s best to homes, offices, or cozy inns.
Honored that "Back Where I Belong" tied for third place in the 10/28/2023 "Monthly Feature" contest in the Digital Art and AI Art group. Many thanks to group administrator, Cindy's Creative Corner, and to everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!!
Painted freehand digitally exclusively from my imagination in Corel Painter. Though imaginary, Sunrise In Silver And Gold was inspired by the amazing beauty we see in winter on top of Blue Knob Mountain in Claysburg, PA. NOT created by using AI - Artificial Intelligence.
The Sweet Simple Things …My newest photo, taken on top of #BlueKnobMountain, #Claysburg, #Pa early last fall. As Laura Ingalls Wilder said, it is the sweet, simple things of life that are the real ones, after all.
As summer draws to a close … a glimpse of a refreshing scene from beautiful #Croatia, the River Ljuta as it splashes its way past the terraces at Restaurant Konavoski Dvori not far from #Dubrovnik. Loosely based on one of my own photos (not from public domain or stock) and hand painted in #CorelPainter.
I turned my photograph into a digital painting to clean up some graininess and motion blur from the low light. This way, the photograph's best details get to shine, and that special moment stays true. The couple was taking an early morning autumn stroll around Abbott Lake at the Peaks of Otter Lodge on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.
Extremely honored that "Wild Beauty Painted" has won third place in the 11/2/2023 #FineArtAmerica juried #contest "Grace and Beauty" held by the Dan Wall group. Many thanks to contest administrator, Daniel Moise, and to the jurors. Congratulations to the other winners!
One of the things that I miss about Milwaukee is the sight and sounds of motorcycles (not just Harleys!). Using my camera, I caught the vibe of Milwaukee's streets and their symphony of bikes at a street festival. I gave my photograph a digital touch-up to really make it pop.
Very happy that "Glamour Girl" won 2nd place in the 4/18/2024 contest "Show Your Parrot" held by the "The Best Photo Album" group. Many thanks to group administrator, Kip Krause, and everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!
I transformed my flower photograph into this digital art piece using a digital alcohol ink technique. It's a snapshot of calm moments - red poppies by a still lake, all under a sunset sky burning with evening's last light. This artwork exudes a quiet elegance, perfect for adding a serene touch to any space.
Sending out sincere thanks to my 5/12 #FineArtAmerica client from Montrose, CA. for their purchase of an 8" x 8" canvas print of Vintage Circus Roses. Enjoy!!!
It can be seen better ... and all the cool products it's available on ... at my website, here:
