Sending out sincere thanks to my 5/12 #FineArtAmerica client from Montrose, CA. for their purchase of an 8" x 8" canvas print of Vintage Circus Roses. Enjoy!!!
It can be seen better ... and all the cool products it's available on ... at my website, here:
It's not 'Artificial Intelligence'. We don't have 'Artificial Intelligence'. Everyone lambasted IBM (quite rightly) when they called Watson 'Artificial Intelligence' because it's not a thing humanity has achieved. Not even close. We have really good language models. I am getting pretty tired explaining to people 'No we need a different kind of model for that'. I'd make a T-shirt except I don't wear T-shirts. #AI#NotAI
"Playful Posies" A cluster of playful posies … full blown roses and buds (or are they peonies?) … seemingly dance against the darkening night sky. More happens in the gardens, when no humans lurk, than can be conjured in our imaginations! It's party time for the playful posies!!
I transformed my flower photograph into this digital art piece using a digital alcohol ink technique. It's a snapshot of calm moments - red poppies by a still lake, all under a sunset sky burning with evening's last light. This artwork exudes a quiet elegance, perfect for adding a serene touch to any space.
Sending out thanks to my 4/21 #FineArtAmerica client from Poland, OH for their purchase of a 24" x 16" framed and matted print of "Barred Owl." I hope you enjoy it very much!!
One of the things that I miss about Milwaukee is the sight and sounds of motorcycles (not just Harleys!). Using my camera, I caught the vibe of Milwaukee's streets and their symphony of bikes at a street festival. I gave my photograph a digital touch-up to really make it pop.
Very happy that "Glamour Girl" won 2nd place in the 4/18/2024 contest "Show Your Parrot" held by the "The Best Photo Album" group. Many thanks to group administrator, Kip Krause, and everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!
I captured the autumn magic with my camera while at Abbott Lake on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia and gave it a digital paint job, keeping all those true-to-life hues and light. This piece could be a natural fit anywhere, adding a splash of fall’s best to homes, offices, or cozy inns.
I had fun experimenting with digital brushes, crafting this scene from pure imagination as dusk crept in - no photograph as a base image, no AI. The pink flowers stand out in the dimming glow, soaking up every last bit of daylight. It's one of my initial forays into digital painting, and it's really sparked my creative spirit.
I turned my photograph into a digital painting to clean up some graininess and motion blur from the low light. This way, the photograph's best details get to shine, and that special moment stays true. The couple was taking an early morning autumn stroll around Abbott Lake at the Peaks of Otter Lodge on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.
It has been a while since I have done an #introduction so here goes! I'm a photographer, through and through. I am most alive when I have a camera in my hand.
Most of what I share here are my photographs. I'll also be sharing art that I create digitally, using my own photographs as the base. I've been digitally painting and transforming my photographs so that they're new creations, made by me (no AI).
Most recently, I've given acrylic (abstract) painting another try (I haven't painted since my teen years). If my paintings are not good enough to share here (from my judgment), I know I'll be able to use digital painting to complete my vision where my paintbrush leaves off.
Introducing a new piece of art in my gallery! "Sunset Over the Water" was created by digitally painting my own best-selling photograph, "Solitude at Sunset."
A waxing gibbous moon framed in the fork of an eroded branch of a Pinus longaeva (Great Basin bristlecone pine) at ~3,048m (10,000ft) in the White Mountains of California. (This is a single frame photo made by a human, #notAI.)
I'm so happy that "Snowplow" has won First Place in the 3/22/2024 contest MOTION DOGS WOLVES COYOTES. Way to go Sadie!!! Many thanks to contest administrator, Gary Eklund Mr Dodo b bird, and to everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!
Honored that "King Of The World" came in third in the 3/22 Fine Art America contest "Black and White Special Contest" held by the 1000 Views Group. Many thanks to contest and group administrator, Christopher James, and everyone who voted for my image!
