FreeTube: #Freetube (https://freetubeapp.io/) is an ad-free desktop client for Windows, Mac, and Linux that can load YouTube and stores subscriptions and history locally.
For most of these options, you can export your YouTube subscriptions at https://takeout.google.com and can import them into them.

🐞 fixed NewPipe not responding in some cases
🐞 fixed "could not get like count"
⚠️ I have to - due to recent events - spread awareness to download #NewPipe only from official sources.⚠️
Scammers try to make money of NewPipe by uploading illegally modified copies of NewPipe to multiple app stores, including Google Play and Apple's App store.
The official NewPipe app does not contain ads, and it does not offer a subscription to unlock features or block ads. Once you've paid those people, your money is likely gone.
In case you've also missed it: If you use NewPipe SponsorBlock you should switch to Tubular, which is the new name it's being developed under. https://github.com/polymorphicshade/Tubular
You can download the apk from the linn above, or install it trough F-droid with the IzzyOnDroid repository.
So, #Youtube changed something (again) on their part and now #Invidious – a front-end for Youtube without tracking and advertising – (again) cannot play their videos.
Error message: “The video returned by YouTube isn't the requested one. (Android client) (VideoNotAvailableException)”
I haven't given any updates on the #NewPipe development lately. Although it might seem that most NewPipe devs have been inactive for some time, a lot has happened behind the scenes. Let's catch up on the past weeks months and take a look into future steps of the NewPipe development.
Have y'all ever tried #FreeTube ? I started using it when youtube stopped showing video recommendations to those who keep their watch history disabled (which is my case) and ngl it's a very nice YouTube frontend that also works with #Invidious , for my phone I use #NewPipe and #InnerTune
Aber vong Idee her schön.
How do I add other invidious instances to #NewPipe? (Or more in general edit the supported URLs list of an app in #Android? I'm pretty sure I once happened in a menu where I could, but I can't find it anymore.)

We're currently conducting QA and testing for the next update. This might take a while to ensure no regressions were introduced. We are awaiting a few more bug fix PRs, too. Want to help? Go to https://github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipe-nightly/releases and install the latest nightly build🚀
:mastoread:
I was wondering: when I click on one of the many different PeerTube links within #Tusky on #android, is there a way to automatically open them with #NewPipe, just like for YouTube links? I imagine the variety of instances with their different domains are a bit in the way? Would there be a Tusky setting or is it an OS thing? Currently all #PeerTube links are opened in the browser. #fedihelp
Yeah !
