A shot I took this afternoon of Hera (the white-faced heron) crossing a small waterbridge where a lot of colorful autumn leaves have collected in the stream 🙂 Color and Monochrome versions.
Spotted a yellow-crowned night heron and a black rat snake on yesterday's neighborhood walk. (I think that's what they are, but open to being corrected.)
Saw them both within 100-150 ft of each other, on the 6th km of an otherwise uneventful 7.5km walk. 😀
Snake video 👇🏽 (none of my clients were able to attach both videos to this post).
Hard lesson. After waiting in all day for deliveries when I'd rather have been on a long walk, I took a quick 4 mile stroll in the evening, overcast light. Didn't expect much, so I left the camera at home. So, of course, a heron decided to offer me a photoshoot, and all I had was the not so good camera on my mobile to capture the moment. Ah well, it was still lovely to see
Okay, who wants to be the first to make a pun about 'no egrets'? 😃
A #GreyHeron on the #nest with two recently hatched #nestlings.
They’re not pretty but it’s great to see them still doing well, despite the best efforts of #BelfastCityAirport 👍☺️
New in the gallery, a photographic piece 'Veale Heron Silhouette at Sunrise'. "Hera" is a white-faced heron who visits #VealeGardens in #Adelaide each day, usually staying for a few months, flying off for a few months, then returning for a few months, and has done this for the last eight years or so :)
