The compilation Living Within Our Means: Volume 3 is out today, and I’ve got a track on it. Please visit the link below, take a listen and consider buying a copy (£4 or more). It has quite a nice mix of genres. Alternatively, you can buy individual tracks.
The track For Never Get was inspired by the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941; its title is a simple reorganization of the words ‘Never Forget’. It’s a mixture of electro-acoustic sounds, field recordings, transistor radio and synths. I hope you enjoy it!
I uninstalled the #Spotify#app today after attempting to use it. My reasons for uninstalling: First I got a message that I have to upgrade if I want to play songs in any order. Uh, no thanks. Second reason: I skipped a song and it told me I only have 6 song skips per hour. What the hell? Due to it being unusable I uninstalled it. I'm not paying $50 a month or whatever new price Spotify has for Premium. Luckily I have #Bandcamp which is a much better app.

I found out over the weekend that I'll have a track on the next compilation put out by Difficult Art & Music, scheduled for release around June 8 on #Bandcamp. If you're not familiar with them, check 'em out.
I'll share info on another upcoming release in a week or so. 🙂
Alright, @mirlo, a #Bandcamp alternative who hangs out here in the Fediverse, is just $55 short of making its Kickstarter goal! Seems very likely they'll be funded at this point, which is great news for musicians and music fans looking to create a better music industry.
If you want to kick in a few dollars (and maybe your donation will be the one that puts them over the top!), here's the link:
🎤 Check out my new single "Shoot away the pain" on Bandcamp! It's a powerful track about overcoming struggles and addressing gun violence in the US. Give it a listen and share your thoughts!
🎉🎉🎉 The Cats & Coffee Cups album is now available for preorder!! 🥳🐈⬛☕️
With this preorder you get the songs that were previously released as singles plus two more!
The album is released on 21st of June this year!! Why not grab a book and a coffee while you wait? 📖☕️ Or find some peace & quiet? Or think about dreams that might not come true but still make you smile? And if all else fails go to the Café Of The Lost Dreams and find new horizons? And in case you didn’t know - it’s all okay. And maybe you have a friend who can make you a coffee or sing you a song! 🎶
In any case I hope you find comfort with these songs! 🫶
Speaking of trash that you bought... My #fedivision2024 song, The New Rage, is now available on #Bandcamp. Included is a second song. It's different but a nice companion piece.
Oh and don't forget to vote for your favorites. If you dug The New Rage, vote NRCI
Here are some #yumCodes for my "transmit::simulations" album. If you grab a code, please consider supporting @SabiLewSounds (https://ko-fi.com/sabilewsounds) if you can afford it. If you can't afford it, don't feel bad about grabbing a code anyway. You may share these codes with others, but please include the above request if you do.
I'd appreciate if you could share this around. As someone opposed to #Spotify for a dozen reasons there was only #Bandcamp that was semi-ethical & gave musicians a fair deal. Bandcamp is under new ownership, had big layoffs, changed their terms & are starting playlists (likely to fill with AI music?). Thankfully coops such as Mirlo offer a place to share our music that doesn't simply enrich dubious tech giants. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mirlo/mirlo #newMusic#streaming#coops#music#kickstarter
