Today Jess Phillips has written to the Prime Minister about the conduct of one of his members of parliament, ex-PM Liz Truss.

It's a serious matter. Let's hope Rishi! takes it seriously.

This isn't even sarcasm. I love a UK election.

Wealthy white men from rural areas are the UK’s biggest emitters of climate-heating gases from transport, according to a study by the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR).
The richest 0.1% in Britain emit 22 times more from transport than low earners & 12 times more than average. Income is directly linked to levels of mobility.
In the UK, transport is now the largest source of emissions.

Ok, UK Labour have got my attention;

"Sir Keir Starmer has announced plans to create a publicly owned renewable energy company if Labour wins the next general election."

"He... plans to make the UK the first major economy to generate all of its electricity without fossil fuels.

He says this can be achieved by 2030 - five years earlier than being planned by the government."

Remember the main allegation was she didn’t take tax advice to avoid the risk of paying extra tax. As it is HMRC concluded there was no extra tax due, so she saved herself the cost of an accountant.

All journalists should remind themselves not to amplify smears from political opponents.

An investigation on Lord Walney, a Zionist asset in UK. He's involved, amongst other things, in Leonardo. "Leonardo is an arms company that is linked to the Gaza genocide by providing components for F35 fighter jets and which has been repeatedly targeted by Palestine Action in both the UK and Italy"
He categorises Palestine Action and Just Stop Oil as terror groups..

It's down to civil society challenging the dangerous proposals in the Bill every step of the way.

Reject Tory bid for 'loopholes' in protest buffer zone bill, MSPs told

The bill, which passed its stage one vote by an overwhelming majority, will create 200-metre safe access zones, or “buffer zones”, to stop anti-choice campaign groups from protesting outside abortion service providers.

Why would the nationalisation of Thames Water end up putting its debt on the public books? If a company goes bust, and the govt buys the remains, surely the investors simply lose their investment and the debt falls to zero?

They want water companies to operate as profit makers, so they should accept when they go bust too.

I would like to meet the person who advised Sunak that National Service would be a policy to win an election.
Quite apart from being a bad idea on many levels, I'm amazed at its stupidity as an election policy.

After a late night wine and politics session with my grandson and his partner, Sunak's seemingly crazy policy announcements suddenly make sense.
He is not trying to defeat Labour. He's trying to defeat Reform. In the light of that, National Service makes sense. Labour may trounce the Tories, but Reform could completely destroy them. Ergo, try to take the wind from Reform, everyone else has already left the room.
