MDMRN Twin 1: Are they supposed to be fighting people?
MDMRNia: What's the word for after the world ends?
Me: Post-apocalyptic?
MDMRNia: Yea, that. This video is like that.
#IVE is a #KPop#GirlGroup that I just never super got into. I didn't dislike their music, but nothing really clicked with me. Until I heard "I Am" - which has been on my playlist since it dropped and is unlikely to be leaving. I am just so ridiculously into the song. The #MusicVideo can be checked out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZUIwj3FgUY
However, subsequent tracks? Not as into it.
My #QuestionOfTheDay is - who is an artist where you generally aren't into them...except for that one song? And what's that one song that you're super into?
Hi friends, I just discovered the best thing ever and I have to share it:
This is a video of someone playing a #metal song using a #Japanese traditional #guitar / #lute Chikuzen Biwa
https://youtu.be/r334zDCD0WM
Behold, I cobbled together a #MusicVideo for a song I made! It's kinda heavy, kinda wrrbly. What does that mean? Check it out to discover! (I don't know though)
All the footage I used is in the public domain, and were sourced via the wonderful #InternetArchive (which is unrelatedly in peril right now due to some cynical corporate fuckery. Worth looking into if you care about stuff like, I dunno- the preservation of culture!) #MusiciansOfMastodon#rock#metal#prog#music
There are SO MANY more covers I love, but I kept it to five. This hashtag is really fun to scan through. So many great lists, and some tracks I'd NEVER heard of. Gonna be listening a good chunk of the night 😁
I just published a video on #PeerTube for the first time! 🥳
"A video made in 2003 for the Dead Vicious song Smash the State (also known as Guerilla Love) based on footage shot during the MayDay Carnival near The Freedom Shop in Upper Cuba St, Wellington NZ, 1 May 2003."
When thinking of that, my mind when to #NineInchNails. But, the more I looked into it, the more I realized a lot of their songs despite their funky beats follow a pretty basic 4/4 time signature.
You know what isn't? Shut Down by #Blackpink. While it appears to be in 6/8 which is not the most wildly uncommon time signature, it's still non-standard & frankly, the best track off their most recent album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POe9SOEKotk
