They are unsure if the burning planet will even support their lives. They are struggling for secure basic housing after having their lives upended by a pandemic...

@quinn Most every psychology study I’ve read has rightly pointed out that #socialmedia and the peer pressure it’s created to be perfect has fueled massive #depression and #suicidal ideation.

So we can make fun of the Times, sure, but the issue of #computers in our teens’ pockets and immediate access to the #internet isn’t something to take lightly.

For our #privacy OR our kids’ minds and wellbeing.

@gimulnautti Three different peace plans were offered to Yasser and to those leaders who came after him. One of those, broken by , gave the Palestinians about 95% of everything they’d requested.

They walked away.

So, if you have them, please share your specific ideas for this centuries old feud between two closely related tribes.

@GryphonSK Some are, yes. But I'm unclear what your point is? If it's that some Jews don't support #Netanyahu, true and add me to that list. If it's that some #Jews want #Israel to mitigate innocent deaths, great and add me to that list as well.

But nearly no Jews are calling for the dissolution of Israel or chanting "From the River to the Sea" or ripping down hostage posters or drawing swastikas on Jewish establishments.

Those are anarchists, "progressives" and anti-semites.

As a Jew, I know of only one definition for #zionism - the right of Jews to self determine and advocate for or manage their own country on their indigenous lands.

If Miss Klein is calling for an exodus from this philosophy, I find it dangerously wrong for many reasons, not the least of which is that the world voted to give Jews their homeland in the wake of the atrocities of Nazi Germany.

I explained that there’s no negotiations with those who cannot accept your existence.

The concept of US #Democracy is what’s on the ballot this November. It’s as simple as that.

If you vote for any 3rd party candidate or - worse - you vote for “uncommitted”, then you’re actively handing a victory to the former POTUS. Don’t fucking do that.

This reporting suggests that the Israeli military had prior knowledge to the attack and most likely allowed it to happen.

Yesterday, Aaron Bushnell, an active-duty member of the Air Force and an anarchist, set fire to himself in front of the Israeli embassy in #DC, in what they called an "extreme act of protest" against the ongoing genocide and ethnic-cleansing of #Gaza by the state of Israel.

Bushnell was involved in various mutual aid projects.

Already, far-Right grifters and pundits have attacked his anarchist beliefs as signs of him being mentally "disturbed."

Bushnell's death comes as Israel prepares to invade #Rafah, where over a million Palestinian refugees have been pushed into tent cities.

@igd_news I’ve yet to read about any suicide victim who wasn’t mentally disturbed. So that kind of language seems fair to me, honestly.

Whether you jump off a bridge, overdose, self immolate, or shoot your brains out: suicide indicates mental disturbance.

Let’s NOT make this man a hero. He isn’t. His death is awful and sad, but it was unnecessary.
