🚀 🌔 Possibly the first American moon landing in 50 years, scheduled for later today. A commercial vehicle is carrying NASA science payloads but no crew. Pretty cool.

When we were at the airport yesterday I saw a toddler wearing a Thrasher t-shirt and I really wanted to say to him "Oh, are you a Thrasher? Name 3 tricks..."

I did not of course, because it was a silly joke.

Then on my second flight of the day the woman in the seat next to me was wearing a Thrasher sweatshirt!

Again, I was tempted, but did not, but I felt like the universe was telling me something.

(I first started reading Thrasher magazine around 1985.)

My father was not a computer guy, but he was pretty good with machines. I learned a lot from him.

When he was in his early 70s, he spent some time learning how to use my mom’s Mac so that he could write his memoirs. I recently scanned the old dot-matrix printed pages, fixed all the OCR, and posted them on my blog.

He lived from 1922-2008 and it was nice to reconnect with him through this project.

I had forgotten that last winter my old snowthrower was having drive problems. So when the first snow hit a couple of weeks ago my snowthrower barely worked. I thought it only needed a simple adjustment, or maybe a belt, but it turned out that the driveshaft was worn out. The driveshaft is no longer available & nearly worn out ones sell for ~$200 on eBay. Since I have a lathe & welder, I made one. Fortunately, new fiction drive wheel assemblies are still available. Now it's good as new! #Maker

A friend who lives in town saved a couple of Christmas trees for us, so merry Christmas, goats!
