That’s why they are doing layoffs. There are always 2 ways to increase profits. Make more revenue or decrease operating expenses. The BBC used generative AI to help draft promotional emails about Doctor Who and got a bunch of complaints. They will no longer use the technology because of that.

This is a bit silly and is akin to complaining that a spell checker was used to send you email spam. There is a lot of Luddite energy around generative AI and overreactions from companies both for and against it
