Me: Ok, time to cut out the fabric for this pattern.
Cat: Time to loaf in the middle of this fabric that's laid out on the table.
Me: I'll just lay the pattern pieces around the cat.
Cat: I'm going to try to burrow under these pieces of paper and then run back and forth through them as fast as I can.
Me: I'm removing the cat from my workspace.
Cat: I WILL WAIL LOUDLY AND SWAT AT ANY HUMAN WHO TRIES TO REMOVE ME FROM THIS PLAYGROUND.
Me: I guess I'll wait.
Amazon claims that air filters of sizes 10x20 and 20x20 and 30x20 are frequently bought together.
I am prepared to seriously doubt that. How many different-sized furnaces do people have?
Which means that the "frequently bought together" phrase is bunk. There may be something that's "frequently together", like they showed up in search together, but "bought" it ain't. (And if it is search, their product categorization is seriously flawed, too)
@dancinyogi I used to love coffee (I still do), but it makes my stomach hurt and the caffeine spikes my anxiety very badly, so I generally avoid it these days.
What's the point of high-school reunions? Journalist Emily Latimer says they're, like first dates or job interviews, "painful occasions where you’re expected to recount the story of your life." She takes a look at where the tradition comes from, and what their attendees are looking for. Do you like to go back and wander the corridors of your youth?
I've decided. I'm de-graying the house. The previous owners went all-out on the HGTV grey walls, grey floors, white trim and white cabinet look and I can't take it.
I hate painting, and moving the furniture around will be a massive pain, but I think it will be worth it. And I've asked a designer on Etsy to help me come up with a non-grey color-palette that will still go with the floors.
I can't live in a house that's the exact same color as my Russian Blue cat.
@Radical_EgoCom My school has had free lunch and breakfast for everyone since the 60s. There's no reason to be charging children to eat in a place they are legally not allowed to leave.
The other company that had me extremely cranky was Chaosium, for getting in on crypto digital collectibles.
Others have since pointed out that they got into it before it was truly obvious that crypto was so utterly scammy, and they've been trying hard to get on the right side of AI stuff, basically talking me down out of a forever-grudge, so I'm only mildly grumpy at this point.
One day I will almost certainly give in to my terrible, unseemly thirst for the three-book RuneQuest slipcase.
I am on mastodon.gardensoul.org, but the instance has been down for almost a full day now without any notice or status update. While I hope it'll come back, might be good to have a plan b.
