the LockBit ransomware gang claimed they were behind the April cyberattack on Canadian pharmacy chain London Drugs and is now threatening to publish stolen data online after allegedly failed negotiations

OK - but the problem is, they're going to lend credence to #Microsoft's claims that they're "dedicated to #privacy/#security", even though we know that A. it's lip service, and B. secure, private systems are currently not technically possible at all, let alone with MS products.
The proper regulatory response would be "No & we're going to need 3rd party documentation for privacy & security before you launch anything like this again & this goes for the entire industry".

Is it just me, or has Microsoft gone completely crazy? They are implementing spyware that takes screenshots every second and forcing AI integration. Why would anyone willingly purchase this? Anyone with experience in computer or information security knows that it is a bad idea, even if it is locally done. Just don't do it. Since we’re all onboard with telling off Linux evangelists in this moment, Linux has privacy issues too! If your screen goes to sleep, when you come back you’re greeted by your screen contents - not the Lock Screen for a solid two seconds or so (at least in GNOME Shell, the default desktop environment for many distros). #gnome#linux#security
Having an AI ("Windows Recall" is enabled by default) that tracks every move you do on your computer and of course has no filter (Microsoft's own FAQ clearly states it will remember every password you type) is idiotic. But Tech bros are frothing at the mouth for anything AI so here we are.
