Yesterday I made a wee loop of some figures dancing by a river, & only realised after posting that I'd made a #RiverDance and should have, you know, done the proper dance.

The sun finally attempts to show it's face on another rainy day up in the mountains, east of Glencoe.
As the rain makes its way down the mountains it forms waterfalls and rivers as I watched.

Tantallon Castle was built in the mid 14th century by William Douglas, 1st Earl of Douglas. It was besieged by King James IV in 1491, and again by his successor James V in 1527 when extensive damage was done and again during Oliver Cromwell's invasion of Scotland in 1651. It has reminded a ruin ever since.

Alnwick was raided on numerous occasions by Scottish armies. Malcolm III was defeated & killed here in 1093, & William the Lion was defeated & captured here in 1174. William Wallace also attacked Alnwick in 1297. Town walls and gates were constructed from 1434 onwards.

A great capture the other day, I was out looking for baby foxes but managed to get this deer family outing.
We have dad and mum with 2 kids bringing up the rear, so lovely to see 🙂
There were so many things to think about, but they had to be curated.
Otherwise, she would use this precious time of silence to focus on things that didn't matter, items of "news" or current events to mentally grumble over, as opposed to deeply focusing and thinking upon those introspections within her heart, ones that were calling out to be heard.
