Lush, organic sounding #neoclassical that would probably serve pretty well for #ambient fans as well. Creative arrangements and instrumentation paired with rich, vibrant production give these two tracks a widescreen, cinematic energy that sucks you into another sonic world. Just two tracks now, but six more are incoming if you like them.
DEAD CAN DANCE - IN THE KINGDOM OF THE BLIND THE ONE-EYED ARE KINGS
This powerful track from Dead Can Dance's 1988 album "The Serpent's Egg" explores themes of power and societal limitations. Its blend of ethereal vocals, medieval instrumentation, and driving percussion creates a uniquely captivating soundscape.
"Your best example of this is Japan, which made no change whatsoever to its interest rate [after the COVID pandemic began], but experienced much the same increase in inflation, and then fallback again afterwards. So interest rate is not a control and not a fine tuner for the economy in the way that neoclassical economists believe it is."

I’ll spare you the photos of the obvious subjects, so let’s focus on some other ones that I think are still deserving. This one is the Treasury Department building.

Henriks' work looks like the Dutch Golden Age, but he was much later...this is a nice example of Retro Art. He got his start painting wallpaper, interestingly enough.
The tumult of flowers and fruit here is a good image for the season, even with the dead birds. The plums make my mouth water...but I love plums.
Intriguing to see an up-and-coming ACT MP and a long-serving Nat MP debate each other;
"I don't think we have to have this obsession with wanting to cut New Zealanders' jobs. In fact, people are important. If you’ve been yearning for infectiously poppy string-led instrumental electro pop, I have some good news. And if you weren’t maybe you are now, now that you know it exists? @fluffy going by the name Sockpuppet offers up “On the Run,” a winsome charmer that feels a little classical, a little #country and a bop all over, especially once a synth comes up to mirror and harmonize with the violin(?) lead. (more in following post)
@fluffy Meanwhile, “Mortar and Pestle” is a more contemplative affair, with a climbing synth arpeggio paired with a repeating string motif that ambles on amiably for its 3 minute runtime without ever reaching a big climax -- switched-on electro pop for info-age groovies.

"Bodegón" is a piece for two pianos, marimba, double bass, and drums. I initially wrote the drums part, which alternates 11/8 and 9/8 measures at 150bpm. Then I wrote a marimba part atop the drums. This resulted in a rather fast jazzy piece. At this point I realized that the piece had two "natures": when slowed down, the marimba notes sounded very much "Bachianas". I decided to explore and develop this aspect further: I assigned the marimba line to piano, added a new piano, and turned the piece into a neoclassical prelude. Then I added double bass, and used it as a layer that I overlapped to realize a fugato of sorts. Surprisingly, the experiment worked out.
I had now two very different developments of a same idea. I decided to merge them in a A-B-A' structure, with the last part only hinted and fading out, played by double bass and drums.
All the above resulted in my "Bodegón". I hope you'll like it!
(P.S. In Spanish it means "still-life". It comes from "Bodega": storeroom, storehouse, wine-shop, or even tavern.)
