@swetland in my personal experience, at least when it comes to technical/programming stuff, duckduckgo almost always finds what I need. And when it doesn't, it's very rare Google has better results.

It would disconnect while syncing, corrupting the drive. Sometimes it would also disconnect when I picked it up. I have replaced the HDD with a flash drive adapter, and so my suspicion is that it was too loose in there. So I placed just a tiny bit of white tack between the flash adapter and the metal frame, and… that seems to have fixed it! It's synced over 300 songs with no issue.

I gave up hunting for my favorite Giorgio Moroder albums on second-hand CD stores, and finally bought them from Discogs.

E=mc2 is simply not in any streaming service I checked (at least in North America).

And the version of From Here to Eternity available in Apple Music sounds like a poor vinyl or cassette transfer.

Both sounds fantastic on CD, and this is yet another reason I'll never give up on physical media.

And the fact E=mc2 is not available is a true shame, because that album is fantastic, and I'm 110% sure that the track "In My Wildest Dreams" is the track that inspired Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories"

It's hard to pick favorites, as many of my photos turned out pretty good. So here's a few picked to give you an idea of how varied the show was tonight.

this photo was taken just moments after the previous one. the angle is almost identical, but now the columns are mostly green, with some faint red, purple, and blue also visible
the sky seen straight upwards. the aurora seems to pour down from the heavens like a cosmic shower. it spirals in a great mix of green, purple, red, yellow, and white. some of the sight is blocked by trees, giving it an immense sense of scale
now looking towards the bay again, the aurora seems to emanate from the corner of the frame, spreading outwards in a fan. there's a bright red column in the middles, and many more columns of green around it. they all reflect off the water

@midendian I went to point grey beach, just west of downtown. It was just far enough from it to avoid the glare of the bright city lights
