Sure, it looks pretty now, but... "You gotta take care of the floors. You know the floors of the forest, very important." - Donald Trump, forest fire prevention expert.
Autumn can brighten up even a rainy day walk along a much abused river through an old industrial city. Naugatuck River Greenway, Waterbury, Connecticut. October 20, 2023, 4:41 PM.
"Charlie it's not time yet ... Charlie get in the bed ... Charlie leave me alone ... Charlie I still have 30 minutes." That's me talking to my dog Charlie in the morning around seven AM. Their official breakfast time is 7:30 in the morning. I often nap in my recliner after letting the dogs out early in the morning. Waking me up again is a pretty intense battle for Charlie, he is relentless.
If you haven't figured it out from my stories about Ben and Charlie, Charlie is wrapped a little tight, full of energy. Ben is laid back and prefers to watch Charlie do the work. But at times, they both gang up on me when they want something. With a dog on either side, I'll say, "do you want to go out?" and Ben will bark and run to his bowl - he has to get a mouth full of food before going out.
“You can usually tell that a man is good if he has a dog who loves him.” - W. Bruce Cameron (author, A Dog’s Journey)

My wife was up early this morning, and off to a set up a booth and a bazaar held by the local Catholic church. She made a bunch of Teddy Bears and tote bags to sell. She really went all out with the Teddy bears, packaged in fancy plastic a real pro look. She used different fabrics, but I think the LSU (Louisiana State University) bears with sell like hotcakes. Though she told me the price that she is selling them for and I'm pretty sure that they cost her more to make than what she is asking, and that's not including her time. She also took a few quilts and a couple of my photos on stretched canvas. Sorry, I didn't take photos.
“The guy behind the counter scratches his neck. “Are you being serious?” Her face is stoic. “Absolutely. I never kid about teddy bears.” - Jessica Sorensen, The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden
