On one of our last days in Denver, we visited the Denver Botanic Garden. This is an amazing garden very near downtown Denver. I wasn’t sure if it was too early in the Spring to have enough blooms to photograph but all the spring bulbs and trees were in flower. We had a wonderfully temperate, sunny day in which to explore the entire site. One section was under refurbishment, but this will give us something new to see when we return.
Meanwhile in #Denver, yet one more incident that suggests #police in #America are much to eager to reach for their guns... a police office who had been on the scene of an incident less than a minute shot dead an unarmed man who had been tasered already...
I'm not sure how my American friends feel safe in a country where lethal violence is always the go to solution....

I found out today that I'm not going to get the faculty housing at CU Boulder, so my partner and I need to find a new place. Boulder isn't really an option, so I'm looking at apartments in NW Denver. This review for an apartment in the $1500/mo range really struck me. The "standard stuff in Denver" is too relatable at this point. Even paying $2300+ won't get you out of it. Really wish I was being hyperbolic.
