voxel renderer is out with Bloom and AgX Tonemapping.

One more Blender post for today... I threw this together (from scratch!) this afternoon, just to test how it might work.

It's a recreation of a GIF someone posted on Reddit a few days ago, and I can't wait to get it animated tomorrow! 😎

Render times (with Cycles) at 1080x1920 stand at... 42 seconds apiece, though. 😅

Almost done animating this project. Here's a quick clip of a truck picking up some raw data from a wind turbine! 😎

I'm pretty happy with how all of this is coming together, but especially happy with some of the smaller things, like how the grass turned out.

Rendered in Blender 3.6.5 with Eevee.

A looping 3D animation of a truck picking up a representation of a data block from a wind turbine. The truck pulls up to the turbine, the camera zooms into a nearby screen and pad, and a glowing blue block materializes on the pad. The block then moves into the truck, and the truck drives off. Wispy lines of wind pass overhead, and the wind turbine rotates lazily.

Playing with the water transparency revealed a bug in the CPU rendering of surfaces inside transparent materials.
Fixed in beta 0.21.0.871 https://www.enkisoftware.com/products

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Most answers congregated around an Absorption Length = 8 so we'll change the default Minecraft water and flowing_water to that in the next full release of Avoyd.

Note that you can always adjust the water transparency yourself, instructions in the FAQ: https://www.avoyd.com/faq.html#transparency

Anyone know websites like 3DSky where you can share a database of high poly and well detailed 3d models for free??

CGTraders hasn't delivered very nice models without paying. All else I find are freebies of commercial offers.

We've released a beta of Avoyd which improves GPU rendering performance using wavefront path tracing.

On our AMD 7900 XTX (many thanks to AMD for providing system to test on) we get up to 2x performance improvements.
