Seems likely they are more "flighty" in the spring and early summer when the flowers are a bit sparser. But if you're patient you'll eventually come across one feeding calmly.

This #GreaterSpottedWoodpecker#nestling has figured out that the food comes from outside the hole, it just hasn’t plucked up the courage to go find it…

Something about #ferns & raindrops falling on still #waters, that instantly brings calming, #peaceful energies to my soul. #Nature provides many free to access & free to absorb, #HealingPowers 🙏💗
Lots of tiny common #froglets emerging from the #ponds at #WWTCastleEspie. These were no larger than 1cm.

I spotted this young (you can tell by the length of its beak) kingfisher (Alcedo atthis, 🇩🇪 Eisvogel, 🇵🇱 zimorodek) far from the river and its parents, waiting to be fed. Although it can fly, it hasn't learned to hunt yet and is dependent on its parents for food. But the parents already have new chicks, which have priority for feeding. The start of an independent life is hard for birds.
This photo captures the serene beauty of a winter morning in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Snow-covered trees and distant peaks create a calming scene, perfect for adding nature's beauty to your space. Ideal for home, office, hotel, or hospitality interiors, it brings tranquility to any room.
Good morning/afternoon/evening & Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope the day is kind to you.
Hugs all round, and extra hugs for anyone who wants/needs them.
This is getting to be a regular sight in the mornings. This little hedgehog is spending her days in a 'hedgehog box' nearby, hidden under low-hanging shrubs . The food & water are only a few feet away from her front door, so she has all the 'mod cons'. She has been busy decorating her box with leaves all night - it's thirsty work!
