I was walking down a track that was enclosed by reeds on both sides. I have never heard so much song from Sedge Warblers in my life. There were loads of them (and Reed Warblers). They just clung to the reeds in the wind and sang. I was about 10ft away from this one, it did not mind me being there at all.

Just back from Frampton Marsh RSPB. Got quite a few photos to work through, but while I am doing that, here is a lifer for me, a Pied Avocet in flight. [Cropped vertical axis to allow upload to Mastodon]
One spring I noticed two ravens flying in the sky. At first I thought they were fighting, but then they seemed friendly. It was an amazing arial display. I found out later that it was a mating flight. And that ravens mate for life.
