There's a relatively newer trope about characters respawning in anime that #DeliciousInDungeon did very well.
I know it sounds horribly anti-feminist to have a girl immediately get fridged (eaten by a dragon) and the quest is to save her, but I swear that that plot device is used well.

They must have saved the animation budget for the last few episodes. It starts off so rough, only to end on some of the most glorious anime fight scenes.
