#Lesson learned; perhaps this will save someone else some time.
If you have #Python 3.11 installed on Bullseye from the "#deadsnakes" ppa, uninstall it before attempting the upgrade. It conflicts with the Python 3.11 package in Bookworm in a way that causes the upgrade to #fail partway through. Then you have to manually fix it all...
I'm always looking for new and innovative wasy to excuse my book hoarding.
I hadn't realised I could use the 'I'll die someday so nothing matters' angle...😜😂
After waiting since March of 2021, my #CutiePi arrived this morning. First impressions of the build quality are good. It feels solid and the screen is acceptable. It's running #Raspian#Bullseye. It notified me immediately there were updates, but there was a missing dependency so it wouldn't do them. I manually forced it to #Bookworm, which destroyed the custom UI they've put on it. I reimaged the SDCard, and it's back to good. Tomorrow I try a new image I got a few minutes ago.
Nextcloud 25 is not compatible to Debian 12 Bookworm (PHP 8.2) - and Nextcloud 26 is not compatible to Debian 11 (PHP 7.4). Sooo how do you upgrade to Debian 12 Bookworm?
It turns out that the Nextcloud 25 updater is PHP 8.2 compatible, so it's Bookworm compatible!
Therefore upgrade to Debian 12 first and then Upgrade to Nextcloud 26 by using the CLI:
I’m really loving Mychal’s stories. He’s a librarian working at the Solano County library in Dixon, CA. His stories tell tales of kindness, curiosity, and delight. With all the madness around us, this is a breath of fresh air.
Random question: how are you using the #fediverse? I have my main account where I post all kinds of things (but I'm a #ttrpg dm at heart). I have a pixelfed account where I post random b/w pictures. I have another automated account where I post some rss feeds. And my blog is federated as well.
But how are you guys using it?
I for example didn't get into #bookworm or #funkwhale at all, the latter I don't even really get the use for.
