I'm watching this American cooking show called "Secret Chef". I'm fighting through the over-production and constant cuts to comments from the contestants, which I know US shows enjoy, but: are all American reality competitions this complicated?! Watching my nginx logs you can pretty much see anytime Elon does something stupid with Twitter. Server rebooted on June 25th, normal traffic for a few days, then a massive spike in the last couple of days.

You don't need to use the official Mastodon apps, they're not the best way to use Mastodon. The official apps only arrived last year, and they were intended as "Fisher Price My First Mastodon" things with a restricted set of features.

Third party apps have been around longer than official ones, and include way more features. You can sign in with the same account on all apps.

:android: On Android try Tusky, Fedilab, Megalodon, Tooot

:apple_inc: On iPhone/iPad, try Toot!, Ice Cubes, Ivory, Mona

Can I just say how much I love the ending sequence in Portal 2? I know these days a lot of big games try to do tv/film-like writing and stuff, but I honestly wish more games committed to doing stuff like this.

@antoniusmisfit good question. no clue. my experience with debian has been purely server installs and i've gone with the default settings every time and just use what's there. i'm aware people have strong feelings about init systems, but i don't really so i don't keep up with that stuff.

Mr. Rogers is often held up as the example of someone that was kind to everyone. But even he roasted racists! He was unsympathetic to bigots who wanted to hold on to America's tradition of segregation. Something, something, paradox of tolerance.

"Be kind" is often the coward's way out of speaking up for those that need defending.
