please stop presenting using light mode as something worth mocking or a worse experience

very often light mode is an accessibility and readability feature

some people just can't read on dark backgrounds well for example

or need higher contrast in general

or just work in a high-brightness environment where light mode just works better for them

@rail_ the last one & especially the brightness switch you'd get flipping between dark mode full screen editors & bright webpage documentation

but command prompts still only feel right with black background & grey/white text

@Seirdy @rail_ @graphite honestly, windows 3.11 colour schemes. Fully editable colours for all elements at the operating system level & they'd apply to all programs

you might then need to tweak your IDE syntax highlighting for visibility, but that's normally configurable too

used to be you could pick all your own colours, or for linux, you'd go to a theme website & download them until you found one good enough

    I'm not sure what Bluesky Social is for. It seems like Jack wants to create another version of Twitter, which feels like old wine in a new bottle.
