Going to the Transformers 40th theater event tonight! The original “More Than Meets the Eye” multi-parter is a big comfort-watch episode for me, so I’m really looking forward to this! Not what I expected! “This new die-cast transformable figure will be up for pre-order on May 21, 2024 9am PT for $80.00.“

I sure wish it was larger (it's the standard 1:64 Hot Wheels scale), but I doubt it could stand for long under the weight of that much die-cast.

@CactuarJoe @trixter it’s not very bright right now in northern Illinois, but it’s true that the camera phone can capture the colors of the #aurora better than my naked eye could.

Stack Overflow announced that they are partnering with OpenAI, so I tried to delete my highest-rated answers.

Stack Overflow does not let you delete questions that have accepted answers and many upvotes because it would remove knowledge from the community.

So instead I changed my highest-rated answers to a protest message.

Within an hour mods had changed the questions back and suspended my account for 7 days.

@actuallyautistic Does anybody else here find that when they’re in a new place—a store, someone’s house, wherever—that they have an urge to walk all throughout the place and see where everything is?

I never thought about it before, but today I wondered if it’s because I unconsciously want to see all the distractions and novelties so they don’t, you know, distract me from what I’m supposed to be doing the rest of the time that I’m there. Just a little self-management.

I find it interesting that the #Transformers franchise has tackled Cybertronian alt modes repeatedly in recent years:

  • Siege (toys and streaming show)
  • Bumblebee/TF:One (movie and toys)
  • Origin (toys based on G1 pilot)
  • War for Cybertron/Fall of Cybertron (games, Generations toys and Studio Series toys)

…and I for one am loving it. As long as the new fans don’t get confused which toys come from which continuity, I say let’s keep reinventing those robot alien space cars over and over again!

The good thing about being an #autistic #adhd software developer is that my mind tends to be very logical and focused on optimized code.

But it sucks when I find a bug, and I can’t immediately see the cause or a fix. Because my brain simply WILL NOT let the problem go at the end of the workday, and it leaves me in a sour and irritable mood until I can figure out a fix.

Half the time I don’t even realize how much it’s making me cranky at everyone around me.

Poor Clara. she traded her cute, sweet, funny, playful Doctor for one that was grumpy, cranky, cynical and never smiled. and who initially didn’t know how to fly the tardis or who she was. and somehow that one episode, it was somehow painted some sort of failing of hers. 🤦‍♀️

@splott I think Vastra was trying to say to Clara that, no, this is the same Doctor — you’re just seeing who he really is instead of who he wants you to see, and it’s on you to accept that. Which, I admit, I can relate to just a bit.

@splott Hartnell was always portrayed as a warm grandfather. Pertwee was… well, the wiki calls him “authoritative,” which sounds fairly accurate, and Colin Baker was definitely arrogant.

If I had to describe Capaldi’s Doctor in one word, it would be “cranky”, but my second word would probably be “tired”.
