FINALLY got into town today to pick up my yarn for the Arne and Carlos Advent Stocking!

Super excited, can't wait to cast on the toe tonight.

Was also surprised to find that I don't actually own DPNs in 3.5mm, so two IC method it is (I prefer that anyways, so that works).

And here it is in all its unblocked glory: my Bumblebee Acres Farm Return of the King advent 2022 Painting (big) Honeycombs shawl from Stephen West. Day 1 at bottom (curled so you can’t really see it). Full skein used for honeycombs. Close-up shows the earlier days and a pin of Aragon that came in the advent set. I’m hoping blocking will help even out all the little weirdnesses and also make it larger. Happy with it overall. @knitting @fiberarts #knitting #FiberArts

Must Stash DK experiments Part 4: entrelac in the round with self-striping continues. The blue made it through 4 1/2 rectangles which means the white will make it through a similar number and probably double back on itself, which is not ideal (white rectangle stacked on white).

Had my two local besties over today. Pretty much the only people I have seen indoors, in person, since COVID began.

We had snacks, listened to Studio Ghibli jazz, and worked on various projects. Two of us wrote for fun, the other did her university homework.

It was a nearly perfect day.

Hoping for a blocking miracle with this one, the single ply Merino looks so... messy, even though I know I have nice tension. Not so much with this I guess.
