@Shells
Nice song thread.
We used to stream #music live and post the stream to #twitter (circa 2011).
Like a precursor to bird app spaces (audio live stream).
I need to figure out how to do that over here. 😀
Like ppl wd DJ live… it was fun all listening in live… #BlackMastodon
> Almost exactly six months after #Twitter got taken over by a petulant edge lord, people seem to be done with grieving the communities this disrupted and connections they lost, and are ready, eager even, to jump head-first into another toxic relationship. This time with BlueSky.
tl;dr:
#BlueSky seems designed to get secondarily centralized in the "reach" layer (as they call it)
"This account is a replica from Twitter. Its author can't see your replies. If you find this service useful, please consider supporting us via our Patreon."
And I see a lot of #mastdodon users getting excited at seeing Person X on mastodon, not realizing it's just a one-way pipe from Twitter.
Do people who have bird.makeup bots even know that bird.makeup has done this? smh
But in case you won't visit link, here's a short version:
Step 1. You should have a website (or a social media account) that you own yourself (or a company that you work for).
Step 2. Go to your Mastodon's profile settings -> https://[insert here a link to your mastodon server/instance that your account on]/settings/profile
Step 3. Scrolldown to "Profile metadata" section, create a new label, fill label's name with "website" or whatever you want (some people puts "verification" or "verified" as name of label) and in label's value put a link to your website (or as was mentioned before a link your company's website our a social media account) .
Step 4. Make sure that your website has on a link to your Mastodon's account.
Today a student left an envelope on my desk with a thank you note and a $15 gift certificate for a restaurant. Alas, it would be unethical for me to accept it as I am a state employee who already gets compensated for doing my job. I took it to the legal office where our ethics compliance officer dwells.
Clarence Thomas accepted a vacation worth more than I make in 10 years.

@Mastodon Thanks to @trunksapp , I can see that #Mastodon 's account is official without visiting a profile: take a look at this checkmark green badge :-)
I'm not going to charge for anything I put out and will operate at a loss for myself.
The project was something I recently dumped my grief into and it helped me be constructive with my time.
If you want to do something to support the project, donate to your local instances. The admins and the mods of your instances do all of the fundamental work that allows mastodon to thrive.
Otherwise, as a war refugee myself I recommend https://welcome.us/ for any other spare change you have.
Like, currently he has inspirations to work on the project, but.....what if one day because of no money, he would decide to abandon the project because he would loose interest on working on it?
Like, that would sad, you know? Hope that this project would live forever.
