This Open Home Foundation thing sounds a bit like one of my "startup ideas that would never get funded"; ideally this will end up being an IoT ecosystem that's open and self-hostable. https://www.openhomefoundation.org/
I initially ignored it because I thought "Home Assistant" was the Apple IoT thing.
Oh, apparently my post was killed, I got a notification:

Hey @kde I'm looking for a working Plasma 6 "hello world" plasmoid. I just want a text label, but all the plasmoid things are set up properly, AND it works when you run it with plasmoidviewer.
I could self-host the family's password manager… probably don't want to do it on the home NAS. Maybe a tiny cloud server? I think it just needs Docker access, a port, and a little storage.
Why yes, I would love to restart my work laptop because macOS has forgotten how to DNS again, and I can't seem to reset it without a reboot.
With that last detail, I'm going to blame it no the various filters, DNS blockers, etc. provided by IT. At least one of them looked dead (or in distress) this morning.
I wouldn't hate these things so much if they didn't impact productivity so severely. Literally four, just for the network.
Haven’t gotten this to run full size yet, does very well on my laptop at the default windowed size. 🤷 Borderless claims full size but the window is the same. I’ll try Fullscreen later.
