Not enough apocalypse stories have city states, and when they do it's always like a proxy for "we have a standing army". You almost never see like New York cobbling together what it can. It's still got the subways, but all the trains run on parts cannibalized from other trains. Folks still live in the suburbs, with the assumption they are close enough to be protected, so long as they provide their tribute.

The theory is interesting but it assumes that unexplained rules of physics

1- would be the same at the “reality” level
2- the missing/inoperable rules aren’t solved by something we can’t yet perceive, or are correct to begin with

Also how do we know that the “higher” reality isn’t just the natural path that follows living in an incubator reality

    @SirTapTap the thing with Google is they have several very clearly distinct businesses, not saying there wouldn't be a lot of work but a lot of it seems like it'd be very clear. Like Maps and Office are clearly different products.

    @BigAngBlack okay finally found time to listen, good album, especially for a free one. I'd say Come On Donna, 11:11, and Going Back to VA are the stand out songs. With Caged Bird Free and Ball as notables, really the middle of the album is the best part overall.
