On this day in 1916, the first family planning clinic in the USA opened. Sisters Margaret Sanger and Ethel Byrne, and artist Fania Mindell opened a clinic which supplied barrier contraceptives and provided information about how to prevent pregnancy.

Just nine days later, the clinic was raided by police and all three women were arrested.

For those of you following my sad travel saga: We’re near Redding, CA, we can’t get home before tomorrow evening. Father-in-law took a nosedive. He wants to die, is refusing oxygen (he’s under hospice care) & has gone without it for an hour. 🚨Not good. Sister In Law is w him, waiting for nurse to bring morphine for pain. Things looking dire. Just hope we can be there for him in time. SIL is trying to convince him to hang in, take O2. 😰TY for listening. ❤️Losing connection 👋🏼

So I was moaning about my dating life last week because I was really excited about this date and the guy cancelled on me twice and then ghosted me for a bit.

But now, he's back and wants to give it another go and has planned the MOST lovely, perfect date in one of my favourite places.

Will it be third time lucky or will I end up a bit broken again?

I need a better substitute for "girlfriend" for my non-binary person. Sweetheart feels old fashioned, enbyfriend feels confusing, and partner feels… a bit cold. I'm leaning toward "partner" though.
