In fact, their international competition broadcast around the world is SO non-political, they even let Russia compete, despite Russia's ongoing war and human rights atrocities.

I've also seen a news article saying that a golf course may be "called in" to help fix the housing crisis.
Like, fuck golf, but maybe we should require the perfectly good housing being kept empty to boost some shithead's investment portfolio to be used?

I'm at least 9% certain that using existing housing is going to be cheaper, and available faster, than building a new housing development designed by some shitwit who thinks a single access point for hundreds of people is a good idea.

Look I'll even offer a compromise: 10% cumulative tax increase per month on empty housing until it's got someone living in it properly, with decent tenant rights and maintenance.

Today I've read about a bunch of farmers who probably had H5N1 but refuse to test, cats getting infected by drinking raw milk on farms, and a dolphin dead from it

Honestly not feeling very optimistic about this one. Wish I could trust any of the soothing things governments or media are saying about it but I won't fall into that trap again now I've seen how they behaved during the still ongoing covid pandemic

EDIT: And I should clarify I wasn't going out of my way to see H5N1 news, this is just stuff that has come across my feed organically in the 1 hour I've been awake lmao

One time on twitter I commented on the dancing robots propaganda video they put out a few years back that I found it creepy and concerning and this one guy who had followed me and been pleasantly interacting with me for a year or two completely blew up at me, ranting how I was a joyless luddite who feared and hated progress and fun and then blocked me

Anyway I just saw a post that they're fitting one of the dancing robots with flamethrowers now
