Funny,but these same white folks bitch and moan when a Black athlete wins on the golf or tennis tours. And anytime Bubba Wallace wins a NASCAR race. Or when a Black coach or QB wins a Super Bowl. And for Asian and Latino golfers.

They want to return to the days of segregated sports leagues and teams.

@odaraia @ProPublica And here in Albuquerque, there's a power struggle between the mayor vs the moderate/conservative Democrats and MAGA Republicans on city council. The homeless situation is one of the issues. They cut homeless services budget in order to fund more police. And the conservatives want to send the homeless to the unsafe westside shelter 20 miles away from the city,aka the former county jail. Or send them to the new jail. Or else. The mayor is up for re-election next year.

So while you & I might think its necessary to speed up the Green Transition & enhance/accelerate measures to reduce emissions, Shell's shareholders disagree.

The firm has just sought & obtained agreement from investors to slow down its measures to mitigate its environmental impact & reduce progress towards its own (already weak) climate targets.

More reason(s) the fossil fuels sector cannot really be central to climate response(s).

We don't have the time to slow down!

And also through the construction of what soon became freeways and the interstate highway network. That also indirectly forced many women back into the home.
