When #Cloudflare checks "if I'm #human, I'm inclined to just close the tab.
Sorry, can I check that this site is actually one I want to reach first?
That's similar to when bank employees ask me for ways to identify myself. I always ask them for ways to identify they're actually the bank. It always throws them completely.
#Authentication goes both ways. You lose #trust when you ask for it frivolously, or are not prepared to provide the same.
Wow, who could have predicted that the genetics company wouldn't have strong security? I'm genuinely impressed with the amount of trust people have towards those "techy" and "futuristic" companies. Another example would be Neuralink, we've all seen the news about it. Don't trust companies just because what they do seems cool. I hate that we have to state the obvious. #genetics#companies#trust#neuralink#23andfuckme#23andme
Comparing output from ChatGPT with articles from Wikipedia: "participants perceive LLM-generated content as clearer and more engaging while on the other hand they are not identifying any differences with regards to message's competence and trustworthiness."

@lisabortolotti@philosophy@philosophyofmind Motivated reasoning and other biases can be useful and healthy, but that doesn't make them epistemically innocent. There is a crucial difference btw, say, #epistemology and positive #psychology , and human flourishing isn't the only intrinsic value. A's allowing #bias in her reasoning is a reason for B to lower her epistemic #trust in A's #testimony, social- epistemologically speaking . Cf. also #ethics of #belief .
You may be tempted to deny what they are sharing. You may even do so in the most loving and compassionate way you can, but still it is a denial or refutation. Please do not do this!
I understand if someone is close to you, their truth may feel like a betrayal.
