in celebration of space quest ii's 36th anniversary (november 14, 1987) i've recorded two of mark crowe's finest animated EGA/16-color backgrounds from the game in 1080p :)
The Space Quest III remake by #Turbochimp is out now! It's a complete remake of the whole game from start to finish in 3D complete with voice acting. I did the music with my Error 47 mate Jon Paul Sapsford and we wrote about 1½ hours of new music for it (as well as reorchestrating and remixing the music from the original game).
I'll get a full soundtrack download up later today. For now, PLAY THE GAME... IT'S FREE!
King's Quest V: the groundbreaking installment by Sierra which introduced 256 color VGA graphics to their adventure games. #sierraonline#adventuregames#retrogaming
Will be going live on #Twitch at 1:30 AM CST I will be playing #KingsQuest1 I will be doing the vga #PointandClick fan remake that was made by AGD Interactive I'm a #Smallstreamer so please boost this post and raids are greatly appreciated.
If you like the King's Quest VI soundtrack, you might also like it on vinyl. My mate Erik spent the last two years making a reorchestration of the soundtrack with live instruments and he's crowdfunding a vinyl release now.
It's our @dosgameclub game of the month and it's a brand-new Sierra AGI-style adventure game for DOS (but it also works on macOS and Windows natively).
Final score: 100/130. I'm not sure what I missed. Looking forward to get my hands on a hint book... for a little flesh perhaps…
Spent a bit of time early this morning to knock out the most basic vector editing features in my SCI0 pic editor. The SCI0 pic byte-code is very terse; it doesn't even have closed polygons, just lines that happen to touch each other when rendered to the frame-buffer.
I'm sure this whole UI layer will need a refactor soon, but its definitely another step in a "useful" direction. Just a few core features left before a "beta" is viable.
