First, the & I did 3.7 miles, and saw a sweet baby squirrel w/its momma. Then I had a great today, good distance, great pace, had a solid sprint at the end, everything about it was great.

Except I had one of those awful experiences: a fly, flew into my mouth, straight to the back of my throat.

Three minutes of coughing and whatever managed to dislodge it, but ugh was that awful.

I hate pedestrians - they behave like squirrels, but can't hear a thing because they have headphones on 🤣

Cyclists ringing their bells scare the crap out of the pedestrians and they instinctively jump in front of the bike.

Runners say "on your left" and the pedestrians again instinctively jump in front of the runners.

I cycle, run and walk and as @ned says - the whole system is a clusterfuck.

Got a decent #run in on last Friday while on vacation. I have been doing plenty of runs on a treadmill at work lately. I know I should probably go outside more with the nicer weather. So glad I got out, hopefully another one today!

Like many #runners, I save my old #running #shoes to wear to work after they've given their lives up to the run miles. In some cases I shouldn't be wearing them any more, but I do because I'm frugal (aka cheap). These I'm wearing today are old Altras where the foam and rubber of the soles have clearly hardened and lost their grip (think old pencil erasers). May have to give up on them...and they didn't even make it to mow-the-yard stage. sigh
