For this of us accused of buying too many #books - Umberto Eco was on our side:
'It is foolish to think that you have to read all the books you buy, as it is foolish to criticize those who buy more books than they will ever be able to read. It would be like saying that you should use all the cutlery or glasses or screwdrivers or drill bits you bought before buying new ones'
Here's a handy guide to check yourself against; which way do you display/store/shelve your #Books?
I have so many that I fit a number of different categories depending on which part of he house you're in.... I doubt I'm alone in my pluralist shelving habits
Hey. It's ok if you're behind on your yearly reading goal. That number was arbitrarily chosen in a January fog of optimism & champagne anyway, and you don't need to turn something you love & brings you comfort into a stressor. Read good books. Enjoy them. Be gentle with yourself.
I was pretty happy when I recently acquired an Eames chair & stool (reproduction/not an original - way too expensive), I was pretty pleased with the major improvement in my #reading#infrastructure.
But now, I feel I missed a chance for a proper upgrade.... [sighs]
If an #ebook subscription service sounds like it might be for you, please consider supporting one that isn't owned by #Amazon, that exploits its dominant position to force authors into exclusivity deals preventing their work from being available elsewhere. There are alternatives to #KindleUnlimited, including (but not limited to) #KoboPlus. @bookstodon

When you Impulse-buy a book only to realize it sounded vaguely familiar because you've already read it but didn't remember because it had a different cover.
I'm going to attempt to finish reading the book I'm currently reading (about 35% into it) and complete a second book by Monday. This will be predicated upon my ability to get to the beach early & read uninterrupted for the bulk of the day. Wish me luck!
