For #PhotoMonday / #FotoMontag a commission to capture some reptile friends. Crested #Gecko s have such fascinating Sauron eyes. CW for #reptiles in close-up
My “home away from home”. Bob and I pitched this thing years ago on a #botswana hiking safari. When I camped in #venezuela I didn’t bother with the tent, just slept by the fire. That’s cuz I was young and could care lees about danger (not a reflection on young people). Africa is a little more challenging you do need a tent. We were visited by angry elephants, a heard of hungry hyenas and good knows what else. #photography#photomonday
Kinda late to share these, buuut it's #photomonday according to the Germans and these are the most interesting pics I got. (This is the first post in a series but I swear it gets funner.)
ANYWAYS, woke up super late for the eclipse on Saturday but ran out to the park just in time!
They were very hungry. First they came for my dill and it disappeared in a few days. Then they came for my cilantro and there's nothing left for me. I rejoice in sharing my herbs with swallowtail butterfly caterpillars. (They have left the apple mint and basil alone.)
Having been on the isle of #Rügen on Saturday, I also brought home this photo from the #Sassnitz harbour for #PhotoMonday.
My beloved telephoto lens is still broken, I guess going in tighter on the lighthouse would've really been worth a shot, but it is what it is. I think it still turned out a pretty nice and moody composition for a "normal".
